Like it or not, our identities present each of us with challenges. Understanding the challenges we all face personally is one thing, but understanding the challenges others face is another. We tend to have a lot of misconceptions about other religions, genders, ethnicities, economic statuses, and more.

Bilal Alaji is an entrepreneur, mentor, investor, and motivational speaker. He is also someone who helps transform and educates others with his personal story—particularly today’s youth.

His book is called This Ain't My Life. In it, through his own narrative, he shares his story in an effort to inspire others to live their best life. He has faced hardships that include a difficult childhood as well as unique challenges as a black Muslim man. Wildly creative, he is a key figure in the music industry. He has performed at such venues as the world-famous Apollo Theater and the Nets Arena. He’s also worked with artists like Shanice, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Gang Starr, and more.

It is a book that takes us on an eye-opening journey through the life of Bilal Alaji
