Speculative fiction can take us on some crazy adventures, replete with commentary. And the authors who take us on such journeys are usually some of the most interesting -- and fun -- to listen to.
Along comes Bill McCormick, author of “The Brittle Riders Trilogy”, which has been described as “Tank Girl” meets “Lord of the Rings”. After humankind dies off on Earth, then things get a little...strange. Apocalypses are funny that way. If David Brin came off a three-day tequila bender and dropped acid, as Omnibus claims, he would have written The Brittle Riders.”
Having penned everything from children’s stories to dystopian visions, Bill McCormick is also a frequent contributor to such outlets as Chicago Rocker Magazine and Jay The Joke, from which his sports blog has gone on to be featured in ESPN Magazine, Sports Illustrated, the Jonathon Brandmeir Show (WLUP), and referenced many times in the Chicago Sun Times and Chicago Tribune. He also writes a news blog at World News Center, which provides source material for his weekly appearances on The Big Wake Up Call, on WBIG 1280 AM, FOX! Sports.
