Books That Make You Understand Healing Racism, Within & Without
Our age appears increasingly polarized, leaving many to ask what might be done to further heal relations between black, white and brown people? Can we open our hearts, minds and souls, and ask ourselves just what exactly are we racing for?
Author and psychologist JD Mass was a white kid who attended to largely black school in St. Louis, MO. His parents were intent on raising him in a diverse community, where he could experience different cultures, as well as the problem of racism. Later, JD would thrive in schools that were 85 to 93% black.
In 2017, he received his doctorate in Organizational Psychology, and became heavily involved in anti-racist groups in Los Angeles, and later in St. Louis.
Today, JD consolidates his experiences and message in his debut book, Race for What? A White Man’s Journey & Guide to Healing Racism from Within.
