We’re talking about Books That Make You Envision a World of Maternal Robots
Motherhood, that all-important role in the continuation of the human species. Everyone and everything had a mom. Mothers help us grow and become what we are today.
Now imagine a world where a botched bio-warfare attempt puts all human life at risk. To save humankind, scientists create super-soldier robots designed with a “Mother Code”, so the robots can raise and protect babies genetically engineered to survive.
Our guest today, Dr. Carole Stivers, is the mind behind THE MOTHER CODE. Dr. Stivers caught the writing bug at age 50. She used her science background in writing this debut novel and, strangely, a book about a pandemic came out in the middle of our real pandemic, in August 2020. Carole got her PhD in biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and undertook post-doctoral work at Stanford University.
