We’re talking about Books That Make You Disconnect From the World and Build A Cabin in the Forest
Many of us have had that idealistic dream of being off in our own quiet cabin in the woods. Perhaps it’s because we want to decompress from society for a little while, or go off and be creative, with no expectations, to live life in a purer, simpler way, to be in harmony with nature.
At age 18, Yvonne Wakefield did just that. Now, just a few years later, she is here to tell us how she did it, and why, as well as how you could do it, or how you might replicate such an experience.
Yvonne is the author of the series of books “Babe in the Woods”. Book One was just re-released, and Book Two, “Babe in the Woods: Self Portrait” was released for the first time.
Today, even though the cabin is no longer her primary residence, Yvonne continues to stay there occasionally, relying on the same tried-and-true tools and techniques of living in the wilderness. Equipped with a doctorate, she is a teacher, an artist, and has taught art to every age and abroad. And she is our guest today.
